TUS Q Explicit Consent Notice for Usage Analytics and Error Reporting
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This notice explains your data processing preferences for analysing app usage and investigating technical errors. Explicit consent to usage analytics is requested on the registration screen; registration cannot be completed without this selection. Error reporting is separate and optional; it can only be enabled or disabled in Settings. To withdraw your consent to usage analytics, please contact us at our contact address. Withdrawing your consent does not delete your account or terminate your existing Premium entitlements.
1. Who processes the data?
The personal data described in this notice is processed by the TUS Q app developer for the purposes set out below.
Contact: destek@tusq.app
2. Usage analytics: which data and for what purposes?
With your permission, we analyse your app user identifier; the types and times of actions involving app features; test and question identifiers, question counts, whether answers are correct or incorrect, and events involving starting and completing tests, favourites, the notes feature, PDF exports, question bank updates and changes to app preferences.
The purpose is to improve the app and the user experience by identifying how frequently features are used, where engagement decreases and which areas need improvement.
Your first name, surname, email address and the contents of your personal notes or drawings are not added to these analytics records. The records are linked to your app user identifier and are not considered anonymous data.
3. Error reporting: which data and for what purposes?
If you also give permission for error reporting, error and crash logs, your device model, app and operating system versions, and app-related identifiers are processed. The purpose is to identify and resolve the causes of technical problems and improve the app’s stability.
Your account passwords, email inbox contents and payment card details are not collected for these purposes. The app does not add the contents of your personal notes or drawings to error reports.
4. Who receives the data and for what purposes?
Usage analytics records are shared with Google to provide cloud services that support storage and analysis. Error reports are shared with Google’s error reporting service to investigate technical errors. The app developer accesses records through these services solely for the stated purposes.
These permissions do not cover advertising targeting, tracking your behaviour in other apps, selling data or using your personal data for unspecified purposes. The conditions required for processing data for a different purpose are assessed separately.
Processing may take place on the service provider’s infrastructure abroad. This explicit consent relates to the processing activities described above under Article 5(1) of the KVKK; the conditions under Article 9 of the KVKK for transfers abroad must be met separately.
5. How do you give or withdraw your permission?
On first use, an information window appears after the opening logo. Its links provide access to the relevant notices and terms. Tapping “Continue” records acceptance of the terms of use, acknowledgement that the privacy notice has been reviewed, and the usage analytics permission expressly stated in the window. Merely displaying the window or opening a link is not recorded as acceptance or permission. Error reporting permission is not collected on the registration screen; it can be enabled separately under Settings → Privacy (Ayarlar → Gizlilik), after reviewing the explanation and tapping “Allow” (İzin ver). Your acknowledgements and preferences are recorded against your account with the relevant document version and action time.
You may request withdrawal of your usage analytics consent by emailing destek@tusq.app from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Withdraw my usage analytics consent”. You can withdraw error reporting consent by turning off Share error reports (Hata raporlarını paylaş) under Settings → Privacy (Ayarlar → Gizlilik). If you cannot access your account, you may send your request to our contact address.
Once withdrawal has been applied to your account, no new transmission for the relevant purpose is initiated, and pending analytics records in the app’s local queue are removed. Operations whose transmission began while permission was enabled may not be reversible. Giving permission again does not cause pending analytics records from an earlier consent period to be transmitted again.
Withdrawal of consent takes effect prospectively and does not change the legal status of processing previously carried out on the basis of consent. You may send requests to delete previously transmitted data to our contact address. Statutory retention requirements remain applicable.
Account verification, purchases, daily usage allowances and security records are outside the scope of the analytics and error reporting consent described in this notice. Their scope and legal grounds are explained in the personal data processing notice.
